RISC2 partners met at UFRJ during the “Eureka meets the Atlantic” event

Alvaro Coutinho and Marta Mattoso, from UFRJ, and Rui Oliveira, from INESC TEC, met during the “EUREKA meets the ATLANTIC” event, which took place between March 29-30 at UFRJ Campus, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to discuss the collaboration between NACAD and MACC. For both RISC2 partner institutions, Earth Observatory is a key strategic R&D area, to which UFRJ and INESC TEC allocate a significant quantity of resources, human and technologic.

“The foreseeable expansion of Eureka to Brazil means new great opportunities to all RISC2 partners”, said Rui Oliveira, member INESC TEC’s Board and director of the Center for Advanced Computing at the University of Minho (MACC).
