The Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) contribute to excellent research, boosting jobs, growth and investment by equipping researchers with the new knowledge, skills and international and intersectoral exposure to fill the top positions of tomorrow and solve current and future societal challenges.<\/p>\n

MSCA Postdoctoral fellowships PF<\/strong>\u00a0aims at supporting the international\u00a0mobility of researchers within (<\/strong>European Fellowships<\/u>)\u00a0and beyond Europe (<\/strong>Global Fellowships)<\/u>. Postdoctoral Fellowships (PF) are for experienced researchers to undertake their own research project at a host organisation in another country, thus gaining new skills through advanced training and possibly, intersectoral mobility.\u00a0The grant usually covers two years’ salary, a mobility allowance, research costs and overheads for the host institution. Family and special needs allowances are also available, when applicable.<\/p>\n

Both types of Fellowship can also include a\u00a0secondment period<\/strong>\u00a0of up to 1\/3 of the standard fellowship duration in another organisation worldwide.\u00a0(<\/span><\/i>Horizon Europe novelty<\/span><\/i>).\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

An optional additional placement<\/strong> of up to 6 months in a non-academic host in Europe<\/strong> (member states or countries associated to Horizon Europe is now possible at the end of the fellowship (<\/span><\/i>Horizon Europe novelty<\/span><\/i>).<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

All research areas\u00a0<\/strong>can be funded, from physics to linguistics, and from health sciences to mathematical modelling.<\/p>\n

WHO?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Experienced researchers of any nationality<\/strong>, i.e. researchers holding a doctoral degree with no more than 8 years of experience <\/strong>after the completion of their\u00a0PhD (<\/span><\/i>Horizon Europe novelty<\/span><\/i>)<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

Mobility rule:\u00a0<\/strong>The researcher must\u00a0not have resided or carried out his\/her main activity\u00a0<\/strong>(work, studies, etc.) in the host organisation’s\u00a0country for more than twelve months in the three years<\/strong>\u00a0immediately prior to the call deadline. Make sure you check all specific requirements in the guide for applicants.<\/p>\n

Individual researchers submit proposals for funding written in liaison with their planned host organisation in Europe. Proposals are judged on their research quality, the researcher’s future career prospects, and the support offered by the host organisation.<\/p>\n

Resubmissions<\/strong>: please note that as of the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2022 call, proposals involving the same recruiting organisation (and for Global Postdoctoral Fellowships also the associated partner hosting the outgoing phase) and individual researcher submitted to the previous call of MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships under Horizon Europe and having received a score of less than 70% must not be resubmitted the following year.<\/p>\n
